What Happens When You Call The Number On Stranger Things' Missing Eleven Poster

Netflix is teasing Eleven's absence in Stranger Things season 5 with a "Missing" poster featuring a phone number that viewers can call. In a surprising reveal, Eleven has reportedly gone missing from Hawkins as of June 1986. Based on previous announcements, Stranger Things season 5's story is supposed to be set in the Fall of 1987. If that's the case, Eleven's whereabouts could be unknown when the final season begins. Still, Eleven is expected to be a pivotal character in Stranger Things season 5.

The Jane Hopper "Missing" poster comes after Netflix released a trailer full of teases for their 2025 slate of movies and TV shows. Stranger Things was among the titles teased, with a brief glimpse of the "Missing" poster. The footage also featured a Demogorgon calling back to the original threat Eleven and the Hawkins crew faced off against during Stranger Things' first season. While Vecna is still enemy #1, defeating any kind of threat in Stranger Things' next time jump will be more difficult, especially with the details unveiled through the poster's phone number.

The Phone Number On Stranger Things' "Missing" Jane Hopper Poster Connects To Hawkins' Police Department

The phone number included on Stranger Things' "Missing" poster, 765-303-2020, is an active number that fans can call. The number connects to a voice message from Hawkins' Police Department, indicating that finding Jane Hopper is a top priority. According to the poster, Eleven was last seen near Hawkins High School before disappearing on the afternoon of June 13, 1986. In an eerie twist, the poster mentions a reward for "all leads which result in the location of Jane Hopper or her body."

This isn't the first time Stranger Things has included a phone number for the show that was accessible to fans. In Stranger Things season 3, there was a direct mention of Murray's home phone number. When you called it, it featured a voice message from Joyce that hinted at Jim Hopper's survival, which is eventually revealed in the following season. The second time came in Stranger Things season 4 and linked to "The Nina Project." The phone number on Argyle's pizza delivery van was also a fun surprise for viewers since it was also active and featured voice messages from the character.

Aside from confirming the fact that Eleven, or "Jane Hopper," is missing, the voice message connected to the poster's phone number includes a few other intriguing details surrounding Stranger Things season 5. The police officer in the message mentions that Hawkins is currently on lockdown after mentioning a large earthquake, which could be in connection to the Upside Down's effect on the town following Stranger Things season 4's ending. Here's the full transcription of the message (via X):

Thank you for contacting the Hawkins Police Department. Due to the recent 7.4 magnitude earthquake, Hawkins is currently under lockdown. For the safety of our residents, the Hawkins Emergency Task Force is working closely with Hawkins PD to track down missing persons, of which Jane Hopper is a priority. We urge you as a responsible citizen of Hawkins to assist us as we search to locate her.

A Hawkins Emergency Task Force is then mentioned, reiterating the search for Jane and how locating her is a priority for the department. More than likely, Chief Hopper is the driving force behind the search. Not only would he want to find Eleven, but it's been made clear that Eleven is the town's only chance at defeating whatever threats have stemmed from Vecna and the Upside Down. Without her, Hawkins will continue to suffer, and based on the phone message, the town sounds like it is already in bad shape ahead of Stranger Things season 5.
