A Department of Natural Resources crew rescued a research student from a tree in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest this past Thursday after she came upon a group of wolves, then climbed 30 feet to escape them. The wolves were still surrounding her when a rescue helicopter arrived, but the crew was able to land safely.
