Marvel is bringing back an Iconic X-Men villain who is a perfect fit for its latest crossover. Jonathan Hickman Knows Sinister Better Than Anyone.
Hickman's long history with Mister Sinister makes him the ideal writer to bring this villain back into the limelight. He previously explored the complexities of Sinister’s motivations in his X-Men run, including in House of X, Dawn of X, and Powers of X. In those series, Sinister established himself as a character willing to do whatever it takes, good or bad, if it aligns with his overall goals. With that level of conviction and the secrets behind the Xenomorph at his disposal, Aliens vs. Avengers is undoubtedly setting a terrifying scene.
Aliens vs Avengers Should Be One of 2024's Worst Comics... But It's Quickly Becoming the Best
Usually, franchise crossovers tend to sacrifice plot and character when crafting their stories, which is a problem Aliens vs Avengers does NOT have.
While Aliens vs. Avengers is set in an alternate timeline, it’s still an exhilarating read and maybe one of the Alien franchise's best crossovers yet. The combination of Hickman’s storytelling and Ribić’s dynamic artwork makes this series a standout, especially for fans of both the Alien franchise and the X-Men. Sinister’s complex history with the X-Men and other Marvel stories, paired with the threat of the Xenomorphs, creates a unique opportunity for this crossover series.
